Just as students were preparing for summer break this past May, St. Paul School and Preschool unveiled a bright new addition to our McKee Road campus: a state-of-the-art LED sign that’s already making waves in the community.
The digital display stands as a beacon of communication between the school and the drivers who travel McKee Road daily. What once might have been a quick drive past the campus has now become an opportunity for passersby to stay informed about the vibrant activities happening behind the school’s doors.
The Sign Guys in Atwater created the sign, and M-MIG Construction helped with the installation.
Since its installation, the LED display has proven to be exactly what Principal Ruth Sebastian hoped it would be: a bridge connecting St. Paul with the broader Merced County community. The sign rotates through important announcements, keeping neighbors updated on everything from upcoming school events and church service times to enrollment opportunities and student achievements.
“It’s wonderful to see how this simple addition has increased awareness of our presence here,” says Sebastian. “We’ve noticed more people recognizing that there’s both a school and church right here on McKee Road. Some drivers even seem to slow down a bit when they pass by, which is an added safety benefit for our students and families.”
The timing of the sign’s installation couldn’t have been better. As St. Paul continues to grow its enrollment and strengthen its ties with the Merced community, the LED display serves as a constant reminder of the school’s mission to nurture believers, equip scholars, and connect families.
Local families driving by can now easily stay informed about upcoming events at both the church and school.

Birthday greetings must be reserved at least one week in advance to allow time for scheduling. Celebrate your child’s special day and make them feel extra special when they see their name up in lights!
